Turboprop aircraft have one or more gas-turbine engines connected to a gearbox that turns the propeller(s), to move the aircraft on the ground and through the air. Turboprop aircraft burn Jet-A fuel, are frequently larger than piston-powered aircraft, can carry more payload and passengers than their piston-powered counterparts and can typically fly higher than pistons, at altitudes up to 35,000 feet.

They are good for relatively short-range flights.  E.g. Boston to Teterboro.

 A light jet is an entry-level jet or personal jet.  A category of small business jets seating four to eight people. This small jet is quickly becoming among the most desired mode of transportation. A light jet can travel long distances at a high speed with low fuel consumption. This type of jet can travel upwards of 2,000 miles and can reach speeds up to 435 knots. A light jet can accommodate four to eight passengers and is equipped with various amenities such as couches and recliners. This type of jet can also fly into a variety of airports and can land on runways with lengths as low as 4000 ft which makes them able to land at most general aviation airports.

They are good for short to medium range flights.  E.g. Teterboro to PBI.

They are good for medium to long range flights.  E.g. Teterboro to VNY.
